What else you need to know
- Boil before first use and between cycles. Wash hands before/after handling.
- Can be worn for up to 12 hours (note: in some countries like France, Germany, and Australia, max use is 8 hours).
- Replace after 10 years—or sooner if damaged, discolored, or worn.
- Only use during menstruation. Not for post-natal bleeding, sex, or contraception.
- Safe with an IUD or ring (but check with your doc first).
- Always break the seal before removing the cup—don’t yank!
- Don’t share your cup. Clean thoroughly, skip harsh soaps or bleach.
- Rare but serious: watch for signs of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). If symptoms arise, remove the cup and seek medical help ASAP.
